Kathy

Kathy is a certified 200 hour yoga instructor committed to guiding others on their journey towards body and mind well-being. Her specialty is a Vinyasa flow style. She strives to create an inclusive nurturing environment for individuals of all levels of yoga experience.

Her personal yoga journey started as an exploration of the profound benefits that yoga offers for mental well-being. These insights from her own practice led to teaching to help others foster healthy habits. She believes yoga is personal for self-discovery and self-care. The emphasis is integration of breath, movement, and mindfulness to help students cultivate a sense of inner balance, strength, and flexibility, both on and off the mat.

Slow Flow is an all levels vinyasa style that is characterized by a mindful synchronization of breath with movement. Intentional breath awareness promotes relaxation but also deepens the mind-body connection. Sequences  focus on seamless transitions that feel like a moving meditation. Movements are purposeful and facilitate deep stretching and muscle release. This mindful approach encourages practitioners to listen to their bodies, finding ease and comfort in each posture while fostering a sense of surrender and letting go.

Join her on the mat and to embark on a journey of transformation and self discovery!

Patryk

Patryk started his fitness journey at the age of 13 when his dad gave him his first weight set for the basement. He was instantly hooked when he began to obtain results and see the benefits from strength training carry over into his sports. As a competitive pole vaulter through high school as well as college, he secured a title as All-American at the national level as well as completing his BS in Exercise Science - Human Performance.

Knowing very well he wanted to pursue a career in health and fitness, he secured his first job as a personal trainer at a small gym. After several years, he was introduced to CrossFit and became a coach; specializing in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

Nearly a decade later, fueled by his love of how the human body moves and helping people, he decided to go back to school and pursue a more clinically based career in the health field. Obtaining his license as a certified occupational therapy assistant, he has been fortunate enough to work in the geriatric population as a COTA as well as continuing his passion for personal training and coaching at Against The Grain Fitness with his close friend, mentor and lifting partner , Brian Cusano!

Patryk and his wife Jessica love going up to Maine and New Hampshire with their little Frenchie, Moose, ATVing, snowmobiling and just being outdoors as much as they can.
